Why is faithfulness to God so important in Christian Life?

Image
Faithfulness to God QUESTION: Why is faithfulness to God an important part of a Christian's life?   ANSWER:   Without faithfulness to God there can be no Christian life. Christianity is based first on faith that God is, and then that through Christ Jesus we can be forgiven and are saved. Our faithfulness is a commitment to adhere to the One God who is true and supreme and to keep His commandments. In fact, the first two of the Ten Commandments ( Exodus 20 ), deal directly with our being faithful to God. “You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God...” These are the words given directly from God to Moses for all people, for all time.  Since God assumes a covenant relationship with His people, He is declaring that He will not tolerate unfaithfulnes...

A TOUCH OF FAITH

Image
A TOUCH OF FAITH   "She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed." Matthew 9:21 The woman with the issue of blood : Her situation seemed hopeless . She unsuccessfully tried everything and everyone.  Her resources run dry. Her condition worsened. Her friends deserted her. Her family forsook her. The Priests condemned her. People avoided her. The community labelled her. Her name and true identity was lost in her problem that people identified her by her issues. But, even when it seemed like her life couldn't get any worse, she didn't give up! Shunned, friendless but fearless , she pushed through the crowd and touched Jesus' garment and was healed instantly. Every touch of faith will get the attention of Jesus. God doesn't respond to our desperation, he responds to our acts of faith. Regardless of your situation, fear not and don't give up. Have faith. What Jesus did for the woman He can do the same for you and you...

STOP LOOKING AT YOUR WATCH

Image
TODAY'S WORDS OF HOPE ---------------------------------------- It's easy to look at your watch and wonder when God is going to show up.  Mary and Martha did the same thing when they awaited for Jesus to show up and heal Lazarus. BUT HE DIDN'T. Jesus showed up when man's abilities failed. When science couldn't explain it and doctors couldn't fix it.  Jesus has a tendency of showing up when there is no remedy so that at the end of the day only HE will get the glory.   Stop looking at your watch and keep sight of the promise.  God is not man to lie. Trust his timing! May HE grant you an extra faith and the spirit of endurance to keep waiting on HIS perfect timing. --------------------------------- SEND YOUR QUESTIONS AND PRAYER REQUESTS TO: Whatapp: +233-243-851636 Facebook: fb.me/pastorapaw

EXPRESS YOUR LOVE

Image
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”  Mt 22:39 NLT When it comes to loving others: (1) You need to say it. An old fisherman who’d been married for fifty years to his patient, long-suffering wife, rarely took time to express his affection. Finally in frustration one day she said to him, “How come you never tell me you love me?” Without batting an eyelid he announced, “I told you I loved you when I married you, and if I ever change my mind I’ll let you know!” That’s a cute story, but not so cute if it’s a reality. Your husband or wife may know you love them, but they still need to hear you say it. And so do your children, your friends, and the people in your circle of influence. The fact is you can never say “I love you” too much! (2) You need to show it. Everybody needs “a pat on the back.” Dr. Dolores Krieger, a professor of nursing at New York University who conducted numerous studies on the power of human touch, discovered that both the “toucher” and the “touchee” expe...

HOW CAN I OVERCOME ANY BAD HABIT?

Romans 12:21 We are all full of bad habits. We were born with some, others we acquired it ourselves. *Psalm 51:5; James 1:13-15*. These evil habits can be harmful to our bodies and can also keep us from the kingdom of God. *1Cor. 3:16, 17. Rev. 21:27* Evil habits enslave our bodies and minds. Addiction is slavery! Masturbation can destroy your brains and marriage.  Sexual immorality is a bad habit that can enslave you. Alcohol can enslave you.  Nicotine can enslave you.  Every bad habit can ruin your life.  SO HOW CAN I STOP? 5 WAYS TO OVERCOME ANY BAD HABIT 1. Just like Daniel, decide NOT to do it even before the test comes. Daniel 1:8 3. Avoid those who will encourage you to do it* “Evil company corrupts…” (1 Cor. 15:33). Expel bad habits and replace them with good hab...

HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE

Image
One of the noblest pursuits a child of God can embark upon is to get to know and understand God better. The best way we can accomplish this is to look carefully at the book He has written, the Bible, which communicates who He is and His plan for mankind. There are a number of ways we can study the Bible, but one of the most effective and simple approaches to reading and understanding God’s Word involves three simple steps: Step 1: Observation—What does the passage say? Step 2: Interpretation—What does the passage mean? Step 3: Application—What am I going to do about what the passage says and means? How to Study the Bible in 3 Steps Step 1: Observation Observation is the first and most important step in how to study the Bible. As you read the Bible text, you need to look carefully at what is said, and how it is said. Look for: ● Terms, not words. Words can have many meanings, but terms are words used in a specific way in a specific context. (For instance, the word trunk could apply to a...

GRACE VRS JUDGMENT

Image
Grace can be defined as the free and unmerited favour of God as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowing of blessings. Grace is a very common theme in the Bible, and it culminates in the New Testament with the coming of Jesus (John 1:17). The word translated "grace" in the New Testament comes from the Greek word charis, which means “favor, blessing, or kindness.” We can all extend grace to others; but when the word grace is used in connection with God, it takes on a more powerful meaning. Grace is God choosing to bless us rather than curse us as our sin deserves. It is His benevolence to the undeserving. Grace is unmerited mercy that God gave to humanity by sending his son to die on a cross, thus delivering eternal salvation. It is an unmerited favour because we did not deserve it. We deserved to die but God allowed His Son to die in our place. When GOD created Adam and Eve, He gave them specific instructions NOT to eat of the fruit of the tree which was in...
